GET TO KNOW LORI
Lori Zimmerman, founder of Lolo’s Design Co., has spent over 25 years refining her approach to design—but it didn’t start with luxury homes and high-end renovations. Like many, her love for design began in the aisles of HomeGoods, picking out throw pillows and experimenting with ways to make a space feel like home. What started as a passion slowly evolved into a career, shaped by years of learning, trial and error, and a deep understanding of how people truly live in their homes.
Her journey to design wasn’t linear. Before diving into design full-time, Lori worked as a registered nurse, where her care for people and attention to detail shaped the way she approaches every project.
And while she might cringe at some of her early design choices, she’s endlessly grateful for where she started as it set her on a path that’s led to high-end custom homes, full-scale renovations, and a career she absolutely loves.
When she’s not transforming spaces, Lori’s happiest moments are spent:
Laughing with (or at) her family
Cheffing up new recipes to share
Kicking back with a good book on her front porch
For Lori, design is about more than just making things beautiful—it’s about creating homes where life happens, memories are made, and families thrive. Because to her, nothing is more important than family.
THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME…
The name Lolo comes from Lori’s cherished role as a grandmother to Emery, her first grandchild. Watching the world through Emery’s eyes has given Lori a renewed appreciation for family, the small moments, and the spaces where those moments happen. Time spent with Emery is precious, and it inspires Lori to create homes where other families can share their own meaningful experiences.
